Rabbits Lurk In Evening Murk<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

BREDBO, Friday.<\/p>\n

We have knocked off snowing and started raining.<\/p>\n

Gloom sets in on the hills, mist creeps into the Bredbo pub, and afar the trees droop.<\/p>\n

Rabbits lurk in their burrows, and stark lie the valleys.<\/p>\n

Brush up the town. I am coming back. So is Wep and his missis.<\/p>\n

How they shall miss their little lad Lennie!<\/p>\n

Sadness shall be their lot!<\/p>\n

The publican is about to shout.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t shout \u2013 I sing.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t solve the mystery of the missing golf course in Adaminaby.<\/p>\n

Circumstantial evidence implicates a Scotsman seen with a spade looking for a golf ball.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We left the town in tears.<\/p>\n

We had to. Everybody else was moving out.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t know whether I should go home. I have lost those fox skins \u2013 the whole five bobs\u2019 worth!<\/p>\n

I shall cut the back out of Mrs. Wep\u2019s fur on the way back.<\/p>\n

She doesn\u2019t know about it yet.<\/p>\n
